1. Purpose and Objectives
The purpose of the Association BNP Paribas MixCity is to create an active, valued-added social network within the company.
Its objectives are:
- To become a networking tool for executive women at BNP Paribas by offering its members frequent opportunities for meetings and discussions, and the opportunity to share their experience and thoughts, outside of the Group’s organisational system.
- To suggest and support new “rules of the game” to assist women in breaking the glass ceiling, being promoted to management positions and facilitating an improved work/life balance.
- To work responsibly, dynamically and creatively on behalf of the association so that it will come to be thought of as a key network, both within the company (particularly with respect to Human Resources and General Management) and externally (by interfacing with other professional women’s networks).
- To encourage and support the other networks across the BNP Paribas Group.
2. Who can join?
The association is made up of :
- Honorary Members
Honorary members are people who provide or have provided services to the association. Honorary members are admitted by the General Assembly on the basis of a recommendation from the Board.
- Active or associate members
Active or associate members of the association may be :
(a) Senior executive women with an employment status equivalent to that of the French “cadre de Direction Hors Classification” and who are employees of Group BNP Paribas;
(b) Women who were members of the original network;
(c) Executive women with an employment status equivalent to that of the French “cadre,” who are employees of Group BNP Paribas and who have been sponsored by a woman who is already a member of the association.
The terms and duration of the sponsorship period are determined by the Board in order to maintain a membership ratio of senior executives to executives (or the equivalent) of 1:2 and to introduce new membership when necessary.
3. Terms of Membership
• Complete the on-line application form. • Pay the annual membership fee:
- 35 euros if you are working in Île-de-France
- 25 euros if you are working out of Île-de-France
Memberships will come up for renewal in January of the year following the inscription date.

4. What rights do members have?
• To participate in the regular events organised by the association.
• To participate in any work carried out by, and any surveys conducted by, the association and to have access to the results of this work.
• To have access to the “members only” section of the Association BNP Paribas MixCity website.
• To suggest topics for consideration and to make suggestions for creating a program of events and for enlivening the association’s website www.association-bnpparibas-mixcity.com.
• During the sponsorship periods defined by the Board (cf. Part 2 of above), to sponsor up to two executive women with an employment status equivalent to that of the French “cadre” and who are employees of Group BNP Paribas.
5. What responsibilities do members have?
• To actively contribute to the activities, workgroups and events proposed by the association.
• To make ongoing efforts to promote gender diversity in the workplace and the values of the association
• To participate in expanding the association’s international network.
* Article VII of the Statutes of the Association sets out the circumstances under which a member may lose her membership status.
